Use Cases
Dexterous Hand Retargeting and Teleoperation
- With the 19 flex sensors and an initial hand model, full joint positions can be reconstructed. And then retargeted to any dexterous hand. Here we showcase the retargeting with an Inspire hand.
- With an external visual tracking system attached to the wrist, the glove can be used to teleoperate an arm with a dexterous hand for data collection or exhibition.
- Controlling hand in simulators, such as Mujuco. Examples will be provided.
Data Collection
Data collection can be performed by humans operating in gloves directly, just like what DexCap and DexWild did.
AR/VR Application
The Unity interface will be released later for users interested in applying OpenCyberGlove in A/VR.
